ENGINEERING
Marine Structural Engineer
Full Time Position
Locations: Sarasota , FL and Turks and Caicos Islands
- Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or comparable degree
- 3 plus years experience in marine engineering or construction management services related to civil engineering projects with emphasis or experience in marine and coastal engineering
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in civil engineering, basic surveying, construction baselines and work layouts
- Experience with CAD is a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills (English)
- Professional attitude, detail oriented, diligent in meeting work obligations and able to work in a team environment on assigned tasks in US and Caribbean sites

Coastal Engineer
Full Time Position
Location: Sarasota , FL
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Masters Degree (preferred) in comparable degree
- 5+ Y ears experience in coastal engineering related to civil engineering projects with emphasis or experience in marine and coastal engineering
The position involves evaluation of coastal processes, dredging projects, coastal field investigations and design studies, including beach nourishment, coastal structures, and coastal and marine restoration projects. The individual must have a demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to analyze and evaluate coastal processes, geomorphology, and coastal structures. Experience with field data collection, data analysis, sediment analysis in the open coast and inlet environments is desirable. Position requires good writing skills and communications.

Environmental Scientist / Engineer
Full Time Position
Location: Sarasota , FL
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Marine Ecosystems, Environmental or Geological Sciences or a Masters Degree (preferred) in comparable degree
- 5 - 10 Y ears experience in water resources or coastal engineering related to projects with emphasis in marine and coastal engineering
The position involves regulatory processing and permitting of coastal engineering projects and marina projects, including beach nourishment, coastal structures, and coastal and marine restoration projects. The individual must have a demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to communicate with engineers and regulatory officials at the State Level and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on subjects related to coastal processes and geomorphology. Experience in compliance and understanding of state rules and regulations affecting development in coastal areas. Preparing Environmental Assessments under the guidance of a senior engineer or scientist is also required. Position requires excellent writing skills and communications.

Civil Engineer
Full Time Position

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

- 5+ Y ears experience in water resources and civil engineering projects with emphasis or experience in marine and coastal engineering
The position involves evaluation of water resource projects, dredging projects, coastal field investigations and design studies including beach nourishment, coastal structures, and coastal and ecosystem restoration projects. Duties also include site development planning, coordination with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and CAD staff to manage civil work project permitting, and cut and fill computations. Experience with field data collection, data analysis and sediment analysis in the open coast and inlet environments is desirable. Position requires good writing skills and communications.

Coastal Geologist
ECE is currently accepting resumes for a Coastal Geologist at either Erickson Consulting Engineers in Sarasota , FL or at Coastal Design and Engineering in the Turks and Caicos Islands
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- 2 to 5 years experience
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Geophysics from a recognized university.
Responsibilities will include coastal and near-shore field investigations in support of sand source studies for beach nourishment and dredge fill projects including data interpretation, mapping and reporting. Other duties will include sediment statistical analysis and compositing in support of our civil and coastal engineering projects. Technical report writing skills are essential. You must have work habits and interpersonal skills to successfully work on multidisciplinary projects in a team environment. Opportunities include projects located in the South Eastern US and the Caribbean where ECE maintains a local office
